April 21st Newsletter

Ana and Mary’s News ~ April 21st, 2017

From the Classroom:

Teach and Learn, Learn and Teach!  The Learning Expo this week was a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their passion for the ocean and learn from other students in the community.  On Thursday morning we took turns presenting our learning to other classes and going into other classrooms to learn from them.  As readers this week we continued practicing the strategy of inferring.  Together we read The Lotus Seed, a beautiful text tracing the history of a family immigrating to the United States from Vietnam.  Together we asked questions, gathered text evidence, and used our schema to make inferences and create deeper comprehension.
